our mission

Founded in 1999, the Tahoma Lacrosse Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to organizing, developing and promoting the sport of lacrosse within the Maple Valley and surrounding community. Honoring the game by instilling values of scholastic achievement, sportsmanship, teamwork and community service while fielding competitive lacrosse teams throughout the program.

history

The Maple Valley Lacrosse Club (now the Tahoma Lacrosse Club) was founded by coach Vern Smith in the spring of 1999 with one experienced player and 18 “rookies”. That first team competed in the state’s high school B Division and went on to win the state championship. The following year, they won their second state championship.

Over the years, the club has seen substantial growth and now fields competitive teams from K-12 for both boys and girls.

The Tahoma Lacrosse Club has a tight-knit community of players, parents and coaches who continue to find ways to give back to the sport of lacrosse. Many of our high school varsity players help coach our youth through various opportunities.
